Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy explains how Wychwood Homes (“we”, “us”) uses cookies on wychwoodhomes.co.uk, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences and to give website owners information about how their site is used.

The cookies we use

Strictly necessary

This website does not set any cookies that are strictly necessary for ordinary visitors. When you accept or reject analytics cookies, we remember your choice using your browser’s local storage (an entry called wh_cookie_consent), so that we do not ask you again on every page. Cookies may also be set for people who log in to manage the website; this does not affect visitors.

Analytics (only if you accept)

If you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are visited most often and how people arrive at the site. We use this information to improve the website. If you choose “Reject” or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

_ga – used to distinguish visitors. Expires after 2 years.
_ga_R8HNJBB8GL – used to keep track of your visit (session state). Expires after 2 years.

The information collected includes the pages you view, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location and how you reached the site. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. We have switched off Google’s advertising features and signals, and we do not use this data for advertising. Information is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

Changing your choice

You can change your mind at any time: change your cookie settings. Choosing “Reject” will also remove the Google Analytics cookies we set.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. How you do this depends on the browser; look for “Settings”, “Privacy” or “Help”. Blocking all cookies will not stop you using this website.

Other websites

Some pages link to other websites, such as our estate agents. Those websites have their own cookie and privacy policies, which we do not control.

Questions

If you have any questions about this policy, please get in touch via our contact page. If we change how we use cookies, we will update this page and the date above.
